I am not perfect, I have made many mistakes and have many regrets. But I have learned something from all those regrets and mistakes, and that I do not regret, what I have learned .I do not because I of what I now know today and know what to do and what to not do in the future. I will usually egret it for a while until I understand what I did and how to prevent it from reoccurring. Morrie is very open to others about his life, especially to Mitch, even when Mitch asked to record their talks to remember him. Morrie says that people these days get caught up in egotistical acts, careers, families, not having enough money, meeting the mortgage, getting a new car, fixing the radiator and a bunch of other things. Morrie explains that we as people get sidetracked and forget the things in life that really do matter.

This quote means a teacher will never stop having an impact on people's life's. A teacher who worked hard and took the time to care about (his or her) students, are the kinds of teacher that impact people's lives. The kind who inspire others to inspire others in the line just keeps going and going.
Gabriella
I trust Gabriella becuase she has always stuck by me, threw thick and thin. She has never broken my trust or done anything to hurt me. She has been my friend since the first day of school in second grade, she welcomed me into her group of friends and has never left me. In Tuesdays with Morrie, a novel written by Mitch Albom, on the second Tuesday, where they talked about the world Mitch came back to Morrie and for many Tuesdays that followed. While the newspaper situation in Detroit had not improved, it got worse. But when Mitch got together with Morrie and had their talks all of that went away. Mitch continued a second visit and during the visit Mitch noticed Morrie's ALS getting worse and worse. Mitch saw the struggle for him and his army of house helpers, he asked Morrie " Do you ever feel sorry for yourself?" Morrie replied with this "“Sometimes, in the mornings,” he said. “That’s when I mourn. I feel around my body, I move my fingers and my hands—whatever I can still move—and I mourn what I've lost. I mourn the slow, insidious way in which I’m dying. But then I stop mourning.” Morrie concentrates on all the good in his life, not the bad because he knows others have it worse then him. I agree with Morrie that if you give yourself a good cry and can move on with your life, other people have it worse such as the earthquake in Nepal. (Which I previously wrote about) At the end of this chapter Mitch realizes that Morrie's time is running out he had to do something.
"Another powerful earthquake hits Nepal at least 50 for dad over thousand injured" -the weather Channel
Nepal has been having a series of earthquakes, that are devastating the city and all its inhabitants. It even killed a few people outside the city, of Nepal, when I first heard about this depressing natural disaster, I was upset because New Jersey knows what it is like to have a bad natural disaster. Millions helped with Hurricane Sandy and helped to get us back to where we are today. I am upset becuase 54 lives of innocent people were taken and 1000 people injured in a hospital. It's not fair this is happening to these people, but there's nothing we can do but help them to the best of our ability. I chose to write about these people because I feel that they are suffering. I wish I could help the more and more, but there is really nothing I can do being my age. The thing that bothers me the most is that many families must be devastated , no home, jobless and with no family, but I can't say I know exactly how they feel. To me the world is my home, it lets me live my life. Go to school and have fun, it's the center of my life.Without it we would have no life.
Currently some bad things are happening in the world today, sucha as pollution, terrorist groups and bad diseases. We as a world, as a nation have come together to help the world, because we only have one world. We need to love it and treat it with respect. When I turn on the news and I see stories about worlds problems. I would rather watch world solutions, it makes me upset to know all the tragedies happening in our own world. We should not take the world for granted, Morrie from the novel "Tuesdays with Morrie," is an ex- professor at author, Mitch Albom's old college. Morrie is currently (in the book) battling ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) but, sadly in real life Morrie has passed away. He's about to leave our wonderful world, but is prepared, he is treasuring this time instead of morning and being upset. Morrie can teach us a lot about the world and all it does for us. Without the world we wouldn't be here today. 1) "I had not told him I was searching for my keys," said Mitch
(page 95) Shows that he is trying to shield the true Mitch to Morrie because he is afraid to show who he really became, but int he end Morrie was able to teach Mitch about the real things that matter in life. 2) "But then in the stonewalls I had built between my president past," He did now understand what he has done to make himself successful by shutting out others. 3) "I knew deep down I was no longer the good, gift-bearing student" (page 97 on I pad) (Page 28 in book) Also gives for visual what he is like now (after working a lot to get him where he is today), how he got to be like that and what he sacrificed for himself to be himself today. 1) Morrie can no longer dance, swim, walk and could no longer answer his own door, dry himself after shower or even roll over.
( page 160 ) Shows what he cant do and in his disbility, he lost his privacy and he has been able to cope with that and not be misrable. 2) "Can you talk," Connie asked. "I'm visiting with my old pal of mine," (page 108) Shows how much he cares about Mitch, and appreciates that after all these years he came back, welcoming him kindly back into his life. 3) Morrie is a very optimistic person and is prepared for his death and is living life to the fullest, even with and knowing the short amount of time he has left. (page 107 ) By the things Morrie shares with Mitch shows that he is opening his heart back to Mitch and feels comforable enough having that kind of talk with Mitch. He didn't interview him firts before opening up becuase they were very close when Mitch was in collage and Morrie after 16 years feel the same way know. |
